Double-Wide Privacy Gate in Fayetteville, AR

This fence modification in Fayetteville’s Hughmont subdivision replaced a 13-foot section of old, deteriorating privacy fence with a new double-wide wooden gate. The homeowner wanted to create a wider access point into the yard while maintaining the privacy and appearance of the surrounding fence.

The six-foot gate was built with pressure-treated pine to coordinate with the existing wooden fencing. Because the site was relatively flat and the soil conditions were favorable, the primary focus was creating a practical opening that fit the existing fence line and provided the additional yard access the customer needed. The wider opening also gives the homeowner greater flexibility when moving equipment and other large items into or out of the enclosed yard.
