Wood Screening for a Metal Gate in Fayetteville, AR
This custom screening project near Zion Road in Fayetteville added approximately 11 linear feet of pressure-treated pine boards to the front of an existing five-foot metal double gate. The gate provides access to a dumpster area, and the customer wanted to improve its appearance while reducing visibility of the dumpster from the exterior side.
The existing metal frame remained in place while the wooden screening was fitted across both gate faces. Because the gate hinges were positioned along the front, individual boards had to be notched around the metal components rather than installed as uninterrupted pieces.
Alignment was also important across the two moving gate sections. Corresponding boards were positioned to maintain consistent horizontal lines when the double gate was closed. The completed installation preserves dumpster access and the function of the underlying metal gate while presenting a more finished wooden surface toward the surrounding property.
