Shadowbox Privacy Fence and Walk-Through Gate in Fayetteville, AR
This fence replacement near Razorback Road in Fayetteville removed approximately 260 linear feet of existing chain-link fencing and replaced it with a six-foot shadowbox privacy fence. The homeowner wanted greater screening from neighboring properties while choosing a more visually distinctive design than a standard single-sided privacy fence.
The new fence was constructed from pressure-treated pine in a shadowbox configuration. The alternating picket layout provides a dimensional appearance while creating substantially more privacy than the original chain-link enclosure.
Two access points were incorporated into the project: a 10-foot drive-through gate for wider entry and a four-foot walk-through gate for everyday access. Installation conditions varied along the fence line. Some areas contained dense roots, while the front section beside the house included changes in slope that had to be accommodated as the fence progressed across the property.
